The Division of Developmental Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, University of Washington (UW) seeks a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician to join the faculty as a Clinician-Educator at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, without tenure.

The Division’s diverse academic and advocacy interests will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines in clinical, teaching and research activities.

Our clinical focus spans the spectrum of developmental and behavioral conditions with opportunities to continue or develop specific areas of expertise. Clinical settings located at Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH) and the University of Washington (UW) provide a blend of independent, inter- and multi-disciplinary evaluations. Faculty formulate both inpatient and outpatient diagnostic impressions, develop ongoing management plans and promote community partnerships for infants, children and adolescents and their families from varied cultural profiles. Individuals interested in providing ongoing developmental assessment and follow-up for infants at high risk due to conditions in the newborn period and in advancing the research knowledge related to the developmental follow-up of high-risk neonates through longitudinal assessments are encouraged to apply.

Faculty members work closely with Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics fellows from 2 ACGME accredited programs, residents and medical students. Other highlights include our Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) program at the UW Center on Human Development and Disability (CHDD). The University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital are consistently ranked among the top medical institutions in the United States.

Applicants for this full time position should be board-certified in Pediatrics (MD, DO or foreign equivalent required) and be either board certified or board eligible in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities or an international equivalent. Individuals will be appointed in the School of Medicine.
