Position Description
The Department of Physiology & Biophysics at the University of Washington announces a search for a full-time non-tenure track position. Research Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The anticipated start date is Summer/Autumn 2022.
Duties include heterologous expression of ion channels, patch-clamp recording, confocal imaging, TIRF imaging, and recording and analysis of FRET signals measured using live-cell imaging.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
Qualifications
We seek an individual (PhD in physiology and biophysics or related field, or foreign equivalent, required) with achievements and research interests in understanding of inflammatory pain in the cornea.
