The Department of Management & Organization invites applications for one full-time tenure eligible Associate Professor or full-time tenure-track eligible Assistant Professor for the 2023-2024 academic year, with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2023. Tenure/tenure-track eligible faculty have an annual service period of nine months. University of Washington faculty members engage in research, teaching, and service.
The successful candidates will perform research in macro subject areas, which may include strategy and/or entrepreneurship. Teaching responsibilities will focus on entrepreneurship, strategy, and innovation.
Qualifications
Appointment at the Assistant Professor level requires candidates to have or be nearing completion of a PhD or foreign equivalent in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, Management Science, Business Administration, Economics, Sociology, or other related field. A qualified candidate may be considered for temporary appointment as an Acting Assistant Professor, pending PhD, with conversion to appointment Assistant Professor after degree conferral if the terminal degree has not been conferred by the position start date. Appointment at the Associate Professor level requires completion of PhD or foreign equivalent in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, Management Science, Business Administration, Economics, Sociology, or other related field, a strong research and teaching record, and consistent and sustained engagement in or supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) activities through research, teaching and/or service. Provide specific examples of activities when possible.
