As a new University of Washington employee, you will receive an appointment confirmation in the form of an official job offer from the academic unit for which you will be affiliated.
Certain incoming academic personnel will also receive a confirmation from UW Academic Human Resources via email. This document will state your title and effective appointment start date. You will find the Patent, Invention, and Copyright Statement and Statement of Policy on Non-Discrimination and Sexual Harassment on your confirmation notice. This document is also sent to your primary appointing unit’s dean’s/chancellor’s office for their records.
The appointment confirmation is an important aspect of your employment with the University of Washington. You should keep a copy of this document for your records.
