Position Details


The University of Washington’s Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a full-time clinical Optometrist to provide patient care at various Optometry sites. Sites of practice may include The Karalis Johnson Retina Center in South Lake Union, UW Medicine’s Neighborhood Clinics and the Eyes on James Optometry Practice. Candidates must hold an OD degree or equivalent and have a minimum of two years of experience as an optometrist. This is a non-tenured, annually renewable appointment on a 12-month service period appointment and will be made at rank of Teaching Associate.

The successful candidate will wish to practice in an integrated academic eye care setting at UW Medicine sites including its neighborhood clinics. Candidate should be enthusiastic about participating in the teaching missions of the department as well as providing first rate, ethical optometric care.  Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the State of Washington.
