Position Details


The Gottstein laboratory in the Department of pathology under the directorship of Dr. Lawrence Loeb is seeking to hire a post-doctoral fellow who is interested in gaining experience in Ultra-accurate DNA sequencing.   The projects will be centered on the mutation in human tissues that are associated with the initiation and/or progression of cancer.  The selected candidate will have considerable experience in molecular biology. The ideal candidate will have high initiative, a record of publications that focus on mechanistic approaches to important biological problems. This is a great opportunity for a scientist who enjoys working at the cutting edge of a rapidly moving field and is seeking to prepare for a career in biotechnology.  This position requires a Ph.D. in a relevant biological science discipline.  The position also requires computing and communication skills, including proficiency in scientific writing.

This is a full-time position and is initially available for one year, but may be extended. The start date for this position would be as soon as possible.
