University of Washington Dept of OBGYN is seeking a BE/BC Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology to join the Division of UWMC OBGYN Specialist. This faculty position will be responsible for direct patient care in general obstetrics and gynecology.  An MD or foreign equivalent is required. The ideal candidate should have:

  • A clinically active practice currently. He/She will work at several ambulatory clinic sites and with residents, medical students, fellows in L&D, ORs.
  • An excellent record of clinical service, particularly in general obstetrics (inpatient and outpatient)
  • Experience in managing complex gynecologic referrals including proficiency with laparoscopic hysterectomy and vaginal hysterectomies is desirable.  Robotic experience is not necessary
  • Strong interest in participating in resident and medical student education including clinical teaching, didactics, and simulation activities.
  • Evidence of academic or scholarly productivity such as curriculum development, educational or clinical leadership, simulation training
