The Nuclear Theory Group at the University of Washington anticipates filling one to two fulltime postdoctoral to start in Fall 2017. Both positions are full-time, 12-month (one-year) appointments which may be extended (upon successful performance) up to a maximum term of three years.
The Theoretical Nuclear Physics Group consists of four faculty members [S. Beane, A. Bulgac, G. A. Miller, and S. Schlichting], post docs and students. Current group research interests include many-body theory, nuclear reactions at high and low energies, weak interactions and symmetries, effective field theory, heavy quark physics, lattice QCD, nuclear astrophysics, and nuclear structure.
