A position for a full-time postdoctoral fellow (Senior Fellow, job class code 0445) is available in the laboratory of Dr. Karin Bornfeldt (Medicine/Metabolism, UW Medicine South Lake Union; http://depts.washington.edu/doce/our-research/research-programs/the-bornfeldt-laboratory/). The project will be co-led by Dr. Jenny Kanter, PhD (Research Assistant Professor).
The project will address the cellular and molecular mechanisms whereby diabetes promotes atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Applicants with research experience in mouse models, cell biology, molecular biology and immunology will be given priority. The project is funded by the NIH.
Applicants for this postdoctoral position should have an MD and/or PhD degree, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience and based on NIH and the University of Washington guidelines.
