Position Details

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington is offering a full-time (100% FTE) Cerebrovascular Research Fellowship starting July 1, 2016, under the supervision of Professor Laligam N. Sekhar, MD, FACS, FAANS.The Fellowship will be for a period of one year and can be extended for a second year depending on the performance of the candidate. The Neurological Surgery Cerebrovascular Research Fellow is appointed as a Senior Fellow in the Department of Neurological Surgery. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Applicants must have an MD degree or equivalent and have some basic knowledge of cerebrovascular pathologies and their management. A good knowledge of computers, research methodologies and statistics are required, as well as proficient writing skills. For international applicants, ECFMG certification is preferred and fluency in English is required.
