The University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology & Nutrition and the VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS) are recruiting a full-time Head of the Section of Endocrinology based at our Seattle VA Medical Center. The Endocrinology Section at the VA is a full service program and integrated with VA-UW endocrinology training programs. The successful candidate will be an experienced and effective leader with a strong commitment to patient care, medical education, and research. An academic track record with evidence of publications and the ability to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities for collaboration in clinical, basic, translational and health services research at the VA Puget Sound and the University of Washington is desirable.
Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and preference is board certified/eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism (or foreign equivalent). U.S. Citizenship is required. They must also qualify for appointment to the full-time, 100% faculty at the University of Washington at the Assistant Professor (0111), Associate Professor (0112) or Full Professor (0113) level, without tenure due to funding (WOT), commensurate with qualifications. These are 12-month, indefinite appointments. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Position will remain open until filled.
