Position Details


  Applications are invited for a Network Biologist with a focus on the
structural analysis of AKAP-anchored enzyme complexes to be appointed at
the rank of Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology
at the University of Washington School of Medicine, a non-tenured,
full-time position anticipated for a minimum three year appointment. A
Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in Neurobiology, Neurosciences,
  Pharmacology or a related field, and at least ten years of experience in AKAP signaling
networks are required. Demonstrated experience with intact AKAP complex
purification and structural analyses of these complexes using single
particle electron microscopy are necessary. Expertise in all aspects of
molecular biology and biochemistry and a demonstrated track record of
creativity are also required. An in-depth understanding of the integration
of multi-enzyme AKAP complexes and the biological ramifications of these
assemblies is crucial. The successful candidate is expected to establish
independent funding. University of Washington Faculty engage in teaching,
