University of Washington Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine has four academic anesthesiologist positions available at the rank of Assistant Professor at three affiliated hospitals: Harborview Medical Center, Veteran’s Affairs Puget Sound Healthcare System, and Seattle Children’s Hospital. These positions are without tenure and are either part-time or full-time. Duties include the teaching of residents, fellows and medical students and supervision of clinical care team. Anesthesia services may include general, pain and pediatric anesthesia. Must have MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent). Must have a minimum of one-year fellowship training (or foreign equivalent) in pain management for pain position or one-year fellowship training (or foreign equivalent) for a pediatric position. Must be Board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in anesthesiology and obtain a state of Washington medical licensure. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
