The Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Nutrition of the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at Harborview Medical Center (HMC) and the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) in Seattle. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor rank on the clinician-teacher pathway, WOT (without tenure for reasons of funding). This is a 12-month, multi-year appointment.

This position will involve both outpatient and inpatient clinical care, with a focus on inpatient diabetes management, teaching, and scholarly activities in the areas of diabetes and reproductive endocrinology. The successful candidate will have a track record of excellence in research with evidence of grant funding and publication record. Strong evidence of outstanding clinical care and teaching students, residents and MD fellows is also desirable.

Applicants must have an M.D. (or foreign equivalent) and board certification in Endocrinology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
