Faculty positions in Hematology at the University of Washington

The Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington (UW) is seeking applications for two full-time faculty positions at the level of Assistant (0113), Associate (0112) or Full Professor (0111), 12-month, indefinite appointments. Candidate must have an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD (or foreign equivalent) in a relevant field. Rank and Track (Physician/Scientist or Research) commensurate with experience. Applicants must have a rigorous externally funded research program in hematopoiesis, stem cell biology, or leukemogenesis that complements the activities of UW or Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center investigators. Adult hematologists are encouraged to apply. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

For MD candidates, in order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Board certification in Hematology (or foreign equivalent) would also be required.
