Dermatologic Surgeon Position
The University of Washington, Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology and the VA Puget Sound Health Care System are seeking a Dermatologic Surgeon. The selected candidate will be proposed for appointment to the full-time faculty on either the regular faculty track (Assistant Professor (0113), Associate Professor (0112) or Professor (0111) without tenure due to funding, (12 month multi-year appointments) or on the clinical faculty track (Clinical Instructor (0168), Clinical Assistant Professor (0167), Clinical Associate Professor (0166), or Clinical Professor (0165), non-tenured, 12 month annual appointments). The position duties include teaching and patient care, performing dermatologic surgery procedures and Mohs surgery at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, the University of Washington Medical Center, and affiliated sites. The applicant must be excellent clinically and committed to clinical/surgical teaching of medical students, dermatology and medicine residents and fellows. The position may include scholarship, research and administration, depending on the faculty track selected. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens (non-citizens may be appointed only when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy), MD degree (or foreign equivalent), Board certification in Dermatology and completion of ACGME Procedural Dermatology Fellowship (or foreign equivalent) are required.
