Position Details

The University of Washington Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics and Hospital Medicine, & Seattle Children’s Research Institute, The Center for Child Health, Behavior, and Development, are accepting applications for a faculty position at the Associate Professor, WOT or full Professor, WOT rank in the physician-scientist scientist track.  We are seeking applicants interested in leading the development of a population health research program.  Applicants must have a doctorate degree (MD or PhD), Board certification in Pediatrics (MDs only), and formal post-graduate training in Health Services Research.  We are seeking nationally prominent researchers in the areas of population health, patient reported outcome measurement, and/or quality of care research.  Applicants should have a proven track record of sustained extramural grant funding and scholarly productivity.  The Center for Child Health Behavior and Development will provide state-of-the art research infrastructure, access to world-class collaborators and mentors, and dedicated space for conducting research.  The Division of General Pediatrics and Hospital Medicine will provide clinical and teaching opportunities at Seattle Children’s Hospital and in a network of primary care clinics affiliated with the University of Washington Department of Pediatrics and Seattle Children’s Hospital. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S,) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
